By improving the participation of women in STEM-related education and roles, Africa’s oil and gas sector will be able to undergo unprecedented growth in 2022 and beyond.

The African Energy Chamber, AEICORP’s Zakaria Dosso said African banks and fair legal frameworks will enable Africa to boost its oil and gas market. 

The African Energy Chamber strongly supports the European Commission’s plan to step up cooperation regarding gas with Africa, however, this should help Africa to expand production, infrastructure development and the exploitation of gas to address domestic energy poverty.

African hydrocarbon producing countries are increasing oil and gas licensing rounds to be able to stabilize supply of hydrocarbons in years to come to meet growing energy demand as output in legacy projects declines.
